We have always felt that a great looking landscape is only as good as the yard that surrounds it. A lawn area that was poorly installed or maintained can take away from a good landscape. This is why we try to install yards that are easy to maintain and will hold up well in the unique climate and moisture conditions of Lima, Ottawa, Wapakoneta and surrounding areas.

Lawn Renovation and Seeding

For existing lawns that need some help to look their best, we use seed mixes that are good for our area and have been proven to produce good results. When we install a new yard we use extra seed to try to ensure a good start and take extra care to prepare the seed bed correctly. We use 2 methods for seeding (hydro seeding and straw seeding). Both of these methods have their pluses and minuses so we look at each job to decide what we feel might be best for you.

We also can lay sod for those clients who want the instant look, such as commercial or businesses that need to have complete lawns by a certain opening date, or for new construction of residential properties. Sod installation is a system that gives you a great look quickly, but there are some applications where it may not be the best choice We tend to recommend sod yards for clients with sprinkler systems or those that have the ability to water at all times. Our lawn technicians will be glad to exxamine your particular project and recommend the solution that will be best for your property conditions.

No matter which system you use, all customers should realize that all yards require lots of maintenance when they are first installed if you want good results.
